Suicide Sprints

Suicides and strength training make a great combination.  So, that’s exactly what we did last night.

5 sets of Pullups

2 Suicides

5 sets of Power Cleans

2 Suicides

5 Sets of Ring Pushups

Also, we had two people come over for a trial session last.  To be nice, I gave them tabata intervals on the airdyne and tabata medicine ball slams.  We all had core work for dessert.  I hope they’re not too sore to come back tonight!

Post-Tabata Recovery…

Davage and Traci were out through the ringer for cardio.  Sledges, tire drags, suicides, and farmers walks were all on the menu yesterday afternoon.  This morning Ben, Dave, and I all did Tabata intervals for three different exercises.   We used double unders, jack and press with a medicine ball, and 90 pound squat rows.  It only lasted 12 minutes, but the sweat poured!   There will be more hard cardio tonight for the evening session!

Davage bowing to a new master, again.

Traci and I killed a strength session in the morning.  Lots of push, pull, clean and press, and Airdyne intervals!  She then came back for the evening session to get in her additional cardio fix.   Judy and Traci did a tough Suicide-based workout with tons of core work at the end.

Ben and Davage found out how challenging jumping rope for rounds can be.  Super-setting Tire Flips in between rounds probably didn’t make it any easier on them!

2:00 Jump Rope (varying intensity)

2:00 600lb Tire Flips

5 Rounds with no rest (20 min total)

Reaction of the Week:  Ben and Dave’s joyful embrace upon completing their 20 minute workout.  Ben actually had difficulty finding Dave due to dizziness and tingling hands.  The intensity is written all over his face.  Classic.
